Our History
Alburhan Bookstore was established by Dr. Qusai Burhan in 2006 in Baghdad. Our major activities since then was supplying Iraqi universities with Higher Education Books from the most popular publishers like Wiley, McGraw-Hill, Palgrave, Springer, Lippincott, Elsevier, Oxford, and others. In 2012, we started our new activities with national and international schools in Iraq including Erbil in Kurdistan Iraq. Our major publishers are Cambridge, Oxford, McGraw-Hill and Cengage Learning. We have celebrated our 10th anniversary last year and are now looking forward to continuing our history of providing high quality and professional service for partners in the school and higher education sectors.

Our Development
From a single office in Baghdad in 2006, ALBURHAN has grown and expanded. As well as our Head Office in Baghdad, Iraq we now have representative offices, partners, sister companies in Syria and Yemen.
ALBURHAN now provides services for around 12 International schools and more than 30 bilingual schools in Iraq. We also support language institutes with ELT/ESL materials. Alburhan provides professional service to customers including product presentation and teacher’s training.

The war in Iraq has its effect on everything and most business have been suffering the consequences of these effects. Book piracy spread everywhere because of the siege on the one hand and because of the weak income for the people. However, the strong will of surviving still exists and we continued despite all circumstances selling originals and keeping our customers loyal to us.
